Use of the site
Browsing does not create an order or authorise processing for advertising. Use the site lawfully, respect others’ rights and do not interfere with security or access controls. The site does not currently provide customer accounts.
For a future order, provide accurate information needed for the transaction. A person without the necessary legal capacity must act through an authorised representative, according to applicable law.
Copyright, quotation and external links
Research, interviews and articles express their authors’ views and must be read in context. Bibliographical references do not transfer rights in the cited works. Credit the author, title, publication and source link when quoting, as required by law.
Texts, translations, covers, photographs, audio and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. Publication here does not mean that all rights belong to the site operator. Specific credits and licences take precedence for the relevant material.
Quotation and other statutory exceptions remain available on their legal conditions, including attribution where required. Uses outside a licence or legal exception, such as unauthorised republication, translation, sale or public distribution, require the relevant rights holder’s permission. Request it through the confirmed public contact once available.
External links identify independent resources; they do not transfer ownership or imply endorsement of every statement. Their operators control their own services. This does not exclude responsibility imposed by mandatory law.
Future products, descriptions and prices
Commercial provisions below are a draft for both sites. Before sales begin, each offer must identify the seller, product, language, edition, format, bundle contents, functionality, compatibility, accessibility, any technical protection, licence and access duration. A digital product is distinct from a printed book.
The final price, currency, applicable taxes and any delivery or other charges must be disclosed before an order with a payment obligation. Tax status and accepted currencies are [DE COMPLETAT]; this draft makes no statement that VAT is included. Price changes do not retrospectively alter an accepted order.
Orders and conclusion of the contract
The future checkout must allow review and correction of the order and clearly indicate the payment obligation on the final action. An automatic acknowledgement of receipt and a payment status screen are distinct from acceptance of an order.
Under the Romanian scenario, the distance contract is concluded when the seller confirms acceptance on a durable medium, under Article 8(9) of OUG 34/2014. The precise operational process is [DE COMPLETAT]. The consumer must receive the contractual information, applicable terms and any immediate-supply consent confirmation on a durable medium under Article 8(7), within the legal deadline. This confirmation flow is not implemented.
The version and contractual language chosen at purchase must be recorded. No language version removes mandatory consumer protection, and a later amendment does not rewrite an existing contract.
Payment and confirmation
Stripe integration currently supports local test checkout and signed payment notifications. Only a payment status verified by the server can establish successful payment; a browser return alone is not proof. Accepted production payment methods and the seller’s payment arrangements remain [DE COMPLETAT].
There is no active production payment service, automatic invoice or confirmation email. A production offer must explain pending or failed payments, acceptance and refunds, without charging for an unavailable product or promising a service that is not implemented.
Digital supply and access
Future paid files are intended for protected delivery. The actual channel, deadline, download or streaming format, link validity, number of permitted downloads and recovery procedure are [DE COMPLETAT]. Temporary link expiry must not silently shorten the purchased licence or agreed access period.
Before purchase, disclose required software, devices, connectivity, storage, compatibility and any restrictions. Supply must occur without undue delay unless another time is agreed lawfully. Immediate supply during the withdrawal period requires the conditions below. Private storage, access links and delivery emails are not yet operational.
If supply fails, the consumer may require supply and, where statutory conditions are met, terminate the contract; immediate termination may apply to refusal or an essential missed deadline. Mandatory conformity and update duties remain applicable.
Licence for purchased materials
A future purchase grants the licence expressly described in the offer, rather than transferring copyright. The proposed default is personal, non-exclusive use for reading or listening; its duration, permitted copies, devices and any classroom rights are [DE COMPLETAT] and must be agreed before sale.
Unless authorised by the rights holder or law, sharing paid files, resale, public upload, public performance or distribution to other users is outside that licence. Statutory exceptions, accessibility rights and rights concerning lawful physical copies are preserved.
Withdrawal and immediate digital supply
Under the Romanian distance-selling scenario, a consumer normally has 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason: from conclusion of a digital-content contract, or from receipt of physical goods, with the statutory rules for separate deliveries. Failure to provide required withdrawal information can extend the period by up to 12 months.
For paid digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, Article 16(m) of OUG 34/2014 requires all of the following before loss of withdrawal rights: performance has begun, prior express consent to start during the withdrawal period, acknowledgement of the resulting loss of the right, and contract confirmation as required by Article 8(7). Accepting general terms, paying or receiving a link alone is insufficient. The relevant consent, evidence and durable confirmation are not implemented; no waiver is asserted here.
If the required conditions are absent, statutory withdrawal protections apply, including Article 14(6)(b). Loss of withdrawal rights never removes remedies for non-conformity.
Withdrawal may be communicated by any unequivocal statement to the seller’s confirmed contact or using the optional model below. Before production online sales, an accessible online withdrawal function and durable receipt confirmation must also be implemented under Article 11¹, applicable from 19 June 2026. That function is not currently available.
Optional withdrawal statement
To: seller, postal address and email [DE COMPLETAT]. I/We hereby withdraw from the contract for the following goods/digital content: … Ordered on / received on: … Consumer name: … Consumer address: … Date: … Signature only if sent on paper. Delete what does not apply. This model is optional; another clear statement is sufficient.
Refunds following a valid withdrawal are due without undue delay and within 14 days of notification, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed without fees. Standard outbound delivery costs are included where applicable; additional costs for a more expensive delivery choice need not be reimbursed. For physical goods, reimbursement may be withheld until their return or proof of dispatch, whichever occurs first, unless the seller offers collection.
Printed books: conditional delivery and returns
This section applies only if printed books are actually offered for sale. Stock, territories, carrier, delivery charges, deadlines and the return address are [DE COMPLETAT]. No physical shipping or returns workflow is implemented. Under the Romanian scenario, delivery is generally due within 30 days unless another deadline is agreed; statutory remedies for non-delivery and risk transfer remain applicable.
Following withdrawal, goods must be sent back within 14 days of notification. The consumer bears direct return costs only if informed beforehand and the seller has not agreed to bear them. Inspection necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the book is allowed; original packaging and an entirely unused condition are not absolute conditions of withdrawal. Only legally justified diminished value may be charged.
A printed book is not excluded from withdrawal merely because it is a book or has been opened. Any specific statutory exception, such as genuinely personalised goods, must be relevant and disclosed before purchase. A digital exception does not automatically apply to the physical part of a bundle.
Non-conformity: separate statutory remedies
Withdrawal and conformity are different rights. Under OUG 141/2021, digital content must comply with the contract and applicable objective requirements, including necessary updates. For a single supply or separate acts of supply, the Romanian text provides liability for non-conformity existing at supply and discovered within five years; continuous supply is covered throughout the agreed period. The statutory burden-of-proof rules apply.
Digital content must be brought into conformity free of charge, without significant inconvenience, within a reasonable period agreed in writing, no longer than 15 calendar days from notification. A proportionate price reduction or termination is available in the statutory cases, including impossible or failed remediation or sufficiently serious non-conformity. For paid content, a minor defect does not justify termination; the trader must prove that it is minor. Refunds under these remedies follow the statutory rules, including the 14-day deadline.
For printed books, OUG 140/2021 provides separate legal conformity rights, generally including a two-year seller liability period and repair or replacement, or price reduction or termination where the legal conditions are met. Costs of remedying a defect are borne according to law, not the withdrawal return-cost rule. No commercial warranty substitutes for these rights.
Contact, complaints and responsibility
Send complaints, requests for permission or reports of errors to the confirmed public contact shown above. For an order, identify the product, order and problem; do not send card details or access tokens. Contact channels, handling procedure and any applicable alternative dispute resolution scheme are [DE COMPLETAT].
For a Romanian operator, consumers may contact ANPC and the competent courts; access to these remedies is not conditional on first accepting an internal decision. Applicable law and jurisdiction must be settled after the operator’s country and target markets are confirmed, preserving mandatory protection available to consumers in their country of residence.
The operator must act with legally required care. Maintenance, external services and the informational nature of materials do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited, conformity obligations or consumers’ remedies. No clause imposes an exclusive foreign court or an absolute exclusion of liability.
